About Susanne
Susanne Vaughn was born and raised in New Hampshire. Currently and for the past ten plus years has been residing in Burlington, Vermont. She loves everything about Vermont, appreciating the diversity of the people, the quaint downtown of Burlington, the view of the beautiful mountains of both Vermont, New York, and Lake Champlain. Living near Lake Champlain and in Burlington, the little city has inspired her even more.
Why Nautical Flags?
She has always been creative and has dabbled in many areas of creativity and art. For many years she has been captivated by the Nautical Flags and the colors that represent them. Over the years, she has made quilts and other items using Nautical Flags. Expanding her inspiration in the Nautical Flags, she hand paints them and can customize them to individuals’ needs. She lives on the Vermont side of Lake Champlain with the beauty of mountains from two states surrounding the lake; Vermont and New York. She enjoys peace, relaxation, incredible sunsets, and LAKE LIFE. Constantly striving to learn, create and grow as an artist, Lake Champlain has inspired her to paint her passion and love for LAKE LIFE!
Where It All Started
I made a quilt for our Rosborough boat on Lake Champlain. Not available for sale ;-) This is where Nautical Flag Design was born.
